Pumpkin Apple Pie

Ingredients:
1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
4 cups raw pumpkin, cubed
2 cups sliced apples
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. grated lemon rind of 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 cup butter
Directions
:
Combine all ingredients, except butter, and mix well
Pour mixture into a prepared pie shell
Dot with the butter and cover with second crust
Pinch edges together
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 325 degrees and continue to bake for 45 additional minutes
