Cinnamon Apple Salad

Ingredients: |
| 4 |
1 3 oz. pkg. red Jell-O
1/4 cup "red hots" cinnamon candies
1 cup apple cider
2 cups McIntosh apples, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup nuts, chopped |
| Directions: |
- Dissolve red hots in 1/2 cup boiling water
- Add 1/2 cup boiling water to Jell-O
- Dissolve
- Add red hots mixture to Jell-O plus one cup of cold cider
- Refrigerate until partially set
- Add chopped apples and nuts
- Refrigerate until firm
- Note: this salad is excellent with hot and spicy food such as chili
