Cinnamon Apple Salad

Servings: Ingredients:
4 1 3 oz. pkg. red Jell-O
1/4 cup "red hots" cinnamon candies
1 cup apple cider
2 cups McIntosh apples, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
Directions:
  • Dissolve red hots in 1/2 cup boiling water
  • Add 1/2 cup boiling water to Jell-O
  • Dissolve
  • Add red hots mixture to Jell-O plus one cup of cold cider
  • Refrigerate until partially set
  • Add chopped apples and nuts
  • Refrigerate until firm
  • Note: this salad is excellent with hot and spicy food such as chili
